Flicker Light Studio - Bound

"It is a striking word, meaning both action and restraint. Are we bound to this earth? Can anyone be bound for glory? How bound and determined do we have to be? Is everyone eventually bound to find out?

"This short is about being bound to the quantum interface for mind body communication and about life bound to discover itself. We exist because of many possibilities, perhaps an infinite number of possibilities. Our consciousness just one bit in that ocean of potential.

"We spend most our lives as ourselves. Yet somehow in all that stuff we are bound to meet an other. Someone or something that knows us in ways no other could. Each encounter provides more information, effectively increasing the resolution and potential for flowing.

"Does it happen that we are here bound for some purpose or place? Is the universe just a large machine computing the potential of everything? Examining every possibility for the one secret ingredient, even using humans in the search? Eventually everything will have been tried and examined and the secret ingredient discovered. It will be called THEN. It will be found in a certain obscure place where some humans accidentally(?) release it (or produce it)."

Body Story

"Commissioned by Wall to Wall Television for Channel 4, the Discovery Channel and ITEL, Body Story is a series of programmes that takes the audience on six thrilling journeys inside the human body.MPC created 48 minutes of computer animation for 6 episodes, which was 12 months in the making and in excess of 350 shots. In-house software was written throughout 2000 to effect an efficient method of rendering such vast amounts of geometry.Other Software used: Maya, RenderMan, Shake, Propietary Software, Inferno, Fire.Body Story won ''Special Animation Award'' at LEAF."
